If your mortgage payment jumped this spring because
of rising property taxes, hereโ€™s the part most
homeowners donโ€™t realize ๐Ÿ‘‡

You have options.
Most people just absorb the increase and tighten the
budget, but you donโ€™t have to. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s actually
on the table:

โ†’ Appeal your assessment. If the data on your record
card is wrong, or comps in your neighborhood are
coming in lower than your assessed value, you can file
an appeal. Usually online. Usually free.

โ†’ Check your exemptions. Homestead, senior freeze,
veteran, disability, long-time occupant, most
homeowners qualify for at least one and never filed.
Real money sitting on the table.

โ†’ Refinance or recast. If rates work in your favor, you can
lower the principal/interest portion to absorb the bigger
escrow. Or put a chunk toward principal to recast and
bring the payment down without a new loan.

โ†’ Talk to me.
