My firm and my client have been fighting this corruption for many years now. My client, who served the District without a single complaint, had to make a choice of letting this corruption stand in hopes of continuing her contract under the thumb of corruption or refusing to bow to the demands of corruption. She chose to stand. It cost her the contract with La Joya ISD, but saved her character.
It takes people like Mrs. Ruth Villarreal to stand up to these corrupt bullies to pave the way for the rest of us to stand up as well.
If we all follow Mrs. Villarreal’s example, refuse to back down, and continue to fight for what is right, never surrendering we can one day see the end of the corruption that plagues all of us and finally get a government as it should be.

We must continue to fight for what is right in order to end corruption.

Vindication for a falsely accused educator!

Earlier this year we were hired to help a long time educator that had been accused of taking money from students and parents. There was no evidence of theft and no strident or parent had complained about missing money. An internal audit showed that approximately 18k in cash was missing. Although these findings were supposed to be confidential, anonymous pages on Facebook started spread the false rumors about my client stealing money. The ISD noticed my clients termination regardless of the lack of evidence.
We were able to get the auditor to admit that he failed to use proper accounting methods and that he had simply added duplicate receipts as originals. When all the facts came out it was clear that my client was innocent and the auditor for the ISD failed to properly audit and failed to correct his errors when made aware of the errors.
After months of discover and a trial, the ISD withdrew their termination of my client.

The anonymous pages have failed to correct their pages, but few few of those guys actually care about the truth anyway.
