After much consideration, I’ve decided to postpone the K4 Cup Golf Tournament from October 17 to February 6, 2027.

As we head into November, our community’s attention should be where it belongs—on an important election and the many candidates working hard to earn the trust and support of voters.

This is also an especially busy season for our legal community. Many of our judges and candidates are hosting events and fundraisers, and so often it is the same attorneys, businesses, friends, and supporters who are generously asked to show up, sponsor, contribute, and support us all.

I am incredibly grateful for that generosity, and I never want to take it for granted.

Moving the K4 Cup to February gives everyone a little breathing room, allows us to focus on the important election ahead, and gives us the opportunity to make the tournament the fun and memorable event we envisioned.

To everyone who has already committed to sponsoring, playing, or supporting the K4 Cup—thank you. Your support means more than you know, and I hope you’ll join us on our new date:

Like so many Americans, I can still remember exactly where I was on the morning of September 11, 2001.

I was nine months pregnant with our first son. Danny and I were preparing to become parents for the first time, and suddenly we were watching our nation come under attack, unsure of what would happen next or what kind of world we were about to bring our child into.

We had already started Bolt Security Company, and in the months that followed, our small company found itself playing a part in a much larger national effort. We provided security for one of the companies producing MREs for our military as our country entered the conflicts that followed 9/11. I remember the unmistakable sense that our nation had changed.

But I also remember what happened afterward.

Americans came together. We flew our flags. We prayed for strangers. We thanked first responders and service members. We looked out for our neighbors. For a time, the things that divided us seemed so much smaller than everything that united us.

Today, 25 years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken that day, the families who never got to welcome their loved ones home, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the men and women of our military who answered the call in the years that followed.

May we never forget September 11, 2001—not only the tragedy and sacrifice of that day, but the unity, courage, and love of country that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Today I’m grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, the opportunities we share, and the brave men and women who have sacrificed to make this country what it is. While we may come from different backgrounds and hold different views, we’re all blessed to call this great nation home.

What an honor to attend the swearing-in ceremony of my friend, Judge Aissa Garza, as Judge of Hidalgo County Probate Court No. 2.

Aissa and I shared a unique journey this past election season. We both ran contested races, worked tirelessly, and were blessed with the trust of our communities. Along the way, we forged a wonderful friendship.

Watching her take the oath of office today was a proud moment. I know she will serve the people of Hidalgo County with compassion and dedication.

Congratulations, Judge Garza! Wishing you every success as you begin this new chapter. I look forward to serving alongside you and all of our judges as we work together for the people of Hidalgo County.

The whole State of Texas can go out today and vote for Texas Lt. Governor and Attorney General run-off elections as well so please make a plan and VOTE!✅✅

Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice and courage will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

As we enjoy time with family this Memorial Day, let us remember the heroes who made our freedoms possible.
