ESTEP REALTY SERVICE was formed March 19, 1997 by broker/owner Jim Estep. Jim used his land development experience gained from construction of the 125,000 square foot plaza along Rt. 22 (formerly known as “Hill’s Plaza”) in Cambria Township as the basis for the agency’s objectives. Jim worked with the engineers, all permitting agencies, and contractors on every aspect of the land development prior
to partnering with a leasing firm to complete the $7.3 million project. The site required substantial cut and fill, involving some 80,000 cubic yards of material. Needless to say, it was an invaluable learning experience. The ESTEP REALTY SERVICE office opened with a primary focus on commercial site selection, land sales and land development, along with the sale of larger tracts of land and some uniquely beautiful country estates. The office expanded to include sales and leasing in Blair County in early in 2000. Doug Tusing joined the firm in 2002 as a Sales Agent and became an Associate Broker in 2005. Doug brought his twenty years of experience in civil engineering, business analysis and land development working both nationally and abroad for ExxonMobil, and proved to be an excellent fit for the agency.
