We are proud to share that Tony Kupersmith has been appointed as City Attorney for the City of Annapolis! As City Attorney, Tony will serve as the chief counsel for the City of Annapolis. Prior to joining MDSW in 2021, Tony served as the Talbot County Attorney, and this appointment marks his return to public service. We are grateful for his meaningful work at MDSW and wish him the best as he steps into this exceptional new opportunity!

MDSW is thrilled to announce the addition of Jen Swann to our firm and team, and to share the appointment of Katie E. Callahan as Tidemark Title's Director of Operations. Katie has been instrumental in MDSW’s operations since Day 1 a decade ago, and we are excited to see her bring her extensive skills and experience to bear in leading Tidemark Title Company into the next decade. Veronica Wainwright, who has been a central architect in the growth and success of Tidemark, will retire later this year. She will be deeply missed, and we are beyond grateful for her contributions and the legacy she leaves.

Though it may feel more like fall outside🍂, our excitement is all summer as we welcome Kaitlin O’Dowd as our newest associate !

Kaitlin brings significant practical experience to our firm from her recent judicial clerkship with the Honorable Pamela K. Alban of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, where she gained invaluable insight into the legal system. Kaitlin’s passion has always been , which she furthered by working alongside civil and business litigation attorneys in Baltimore conducting legal research, drafting motions, and managing discovery. A proud magna cm laude graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, Kaitlin also excelled in both academics and advocacy, where her National Trial Competition Team won the 2022 Regional Competition. Native to Anne Arundel County and primarily based in our office, Kaitlin enjoys spending time on the water and exploring the area with her friends and family.
