(Secoy) Poley was born and raised in East Prairie, Missouri. She has dedicated her life to making connections and advancing her degree so she could come back to this community and serve the great people of this area. Claire graduated Valedictorian of East Prairie High School Class of 2004, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2008, Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s in Social Work in 2
010, and Cum Laude with her Juris Doctorate in 2011 all from Saint Louis University. After graduation, Claire began working under a federal grant through Susanna Wesley Legal Services to provide free legal services to victims of domestic violence. Over a span of 6 years, Claire helped protect over 1200 women and provide services to those who desperately needed help in Mississippi, Scott and New Madrid Counties. Currently, Claire serves as the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Mississippi County, City Attorney and Municipal Attorney for the Cities of East Prairie, Oran and Canalou and also as the Assistant Juvenile Attorney for the 33rd Circuit. Outside of those duties, she also practices general civil law and has a thriving family law, probate, estate planning, contract and business law practice. Outside of her private practice, Claire serves on the Board of Education for the East Prairie R-2 School District and is on the planning committee for Tour de Corn.
