Fall 2024 begins my 4th semester teaching Criminal Law Defenses at Emory University School of Law. During this period, I have had the pleasure of meeting many law students interested in the latest criminal law defense trends. This term we will include presidential immunity, a topic of great relevance this year. Several of my students have become public defenders and advocates for persons with mental health issues. I am proud to represent Emory Law School and their top-notch graduates.

I am proud to be a part of the 2024 Trial Techniques faculty at Emory School of Law. From May 4 - 7, I will teach rising 3rd year law students about all components of a trial. Prosecutors, judges, civil litigators and criminal defense attorneys from all over the world gather at Emory for an intense week of hands-on education.

This week is Emory University School of Law's Trial Technique program. All 2L's are required to participate in a week long practicum on all aspects of trial advocacy. I am honored to be back as a faculty member for the 7th year. Paying it forward, so to speak.

No lunch plans today. Watch anchor Julie Grant and I discuss several hot legal topics from noon to 3 pm on CourtTV. The main topic will be Michigan v. Steven Washington. Steve Washington, 30, faces 1st-degree and other charges for the murder of Michigan State University senior Isai Berrones in the early morning hours of October 12, 2018.

In addition, we may be discussing the lawsuit filed by George Zimmerman against Trayvon Martin's family.

Lastly, we may discuss the new bail reform laws in New York as they relate to Harvey Weinstein.
