The Internal Revenue Service on December 19, 2024, announced that the optional standard mileage rate for automobiles driven for business will increase by 3 cents in 2025 to 70 cents, while the mileage rates for vehicles used for other purposes will remain unchanged from 2024.

Interest rate on court judgments vary from state to state. The North Dakota State Court Administrator has set the interest rate on judgments entered in 2025 at 11.00%.

North Dakota Century Code 28-20-34 requires that before December 20th each year the State Court Administrator must determine the rate of interest on judgments for the coming year. This rate is determined by using the prime rate as it is reported in the Wall Street Journal on the first Monday in December, plus 3 percentage points, and rounded up to the next one-half percentage point. The rate for 2024 is 11.50%.
