We closed the office today so that the junior associates and I could spend some time volunteering with storm clean up. Our community of Upper Dublin got hit pretty hard during Ida. These two (and everyone else volunteering) did a great job moving branches and a day behind the chain saw was the least we could do. Tons of GoFundMe and other donation/fund raisers going on.

We hope everyone is hangin' in and staying healthy during these unprecedented times! Very late for March's Employee of the Month but excited to announce March went to Luna! Luna is our head of facilities and does a great job of keeping the place orderly (and free of all animals smaller than her!) Fun fact about Luna - she has 6 children and her daughter Althea is also with the firm. Congrats Luna!

Well this certainly wasn't an easy decision - everyone here has been putting in 110%. February's Employee of the Month goes to....SADIE! Sadie has been with the firm from day 1 - she is always vigilant (head of security) and is proud of her success. Fun fact, Sadie was once homeless, living on the streets of West Philadelphia. Sadie says, "With hard work and determination, anything is possible!" Congrats Sadie!

While we always, always, expect every surrogacy/pregnancy to be without complication, it is also important to plan for the unexpected. Having a Health Care Power of Attorney and Advanced Health Care Declaration that specifically address a surrogate pregnancy is always a good idea. "We live in Paris and we both are Architects/interior Designer, we met 4 years ago and live together for 3 years. Become parents was always something we openly talk about and strongly consider. Adoption for same same couple in France is not an option, for this past year we have done quite a lot of research on surrogacy and consider many options. Jordi, a Friend from Barcelona, put us in touch with David Secouler, they went through a successful surrogacy process together. We spoke with him, and now are really confident about going further.
