🦅 Fly, Eagles, Fly—but who gets the tickets when you die?

For many Philadelphia families (our Marketing and Legal Plans Manager Tonya Salkowski included and pictured below), Eagles season tickets aren’t merely tickets. They represent decades of Sundays at the Linc, tailgates, playoff memories, and family traditions.

But if several children want the tickets, who receives them? Who pays the annual invoice? Who gets the Cowboys game—or playoff tickets? And can the account even be transferred under the Eagles’ current policies?

The assets that cause the biggest family disagreements aren’t always the most valuable. Sometimes, they’re the ones carrying the most memories.

Our latest article explains how to address season tickets, parking passes, memorabilia, digital accounts, and other emotionally significant assets in your estate plan.

A little planning today can help keep decades of Eagles Sundays a family tradition—not a family fight.

The back-to-school checklist should include more than supplies and schedules. It is also a good time to protect your child’s identity.

Children generally do not have credit reports. An unexpected credit file may indicate identity theft, a mixed file, or another reporting issue. Warning signs can include bills for accounts you did not open, an IRS notice concerning your child, or a denial of benefits because someone else is using the child’s Social Security number.

Parents and guardians can contact Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion separately and request a manual search for a child’s credit file. Each bureau has its own process and may require proof of identity and authority, such as a birth certificate or guardianship documents.

For a child under 16, an authorized adult may also request a free security freeze from each bureau. A freeze restricts access to the child’s credit file, making it harder for someone to open new accounts in the child’s name. It remains in place until an authorized person asks to remove it.

If you discover fraudulent information, preserve copies of every report and communication. Contact the businesses involved, dispute the information with the credit bureaus, and report the identity theft at IdentityTheft.gov.

If inaccurate information remains after a dispute, Ginsburg Law Group PC can help evaluate the reporting history and possible next steps.
