Steven Weinberger is licensed in the States of California and Arizona. He has litigated and tried cases nationwide. He has nearly three decades of complex catastrophic injury and commercial litigation experience in a variety of specialties, and is AV rated by Martindale. For many years Steve practiced exclusively in the product liability field representing both manufacturers and

consumers. In this very technical area, Steve spent several years representing Class 8 truck manufacturers in highly complex crashworthiness litigation arising out of tractor-trailer accidents, often resulting in death or catastrophic bodily injuries. Steve has also litigated product liability cases involving products such as fi****ms and holsters, electric and gas heaters, gas and fluid valves, automobiles and aircraft. Steve has successfully litigated automobile crashworthiness cases against Ford, Chevrolet, General Motors, Mazda, Toyota, and Ferrari SpA, and was also involved in the Firestone tire class action litigation. Steve has prosecuted countless wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases including injuries such as quadriplegia, paraplegia, open and closed head injuries, brain damage, and loss of vision and limbs. Steve has personally obtained verdicts and settlements in the tens of millions of dollars and was mentored by some of the best trial attorneys in the country including Leo Beus, Mike Piuze and Ned Good, whose combined verdicts and settlements are in the billions of dollars. Michael Medina is an Arizona native who grew up in the small mining community of Bagdad, Arizona. After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1989, Michael received a Patricia Roberts Harris Fellowship to attend Creighton University School of Law. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1992. Michael is a member of the American Association of Justice, the Attorney’s Information Exchange Group, and Million Dollar Trial Lawyers, among other prestigious groups of consumer attorneys. Michael has spent the last two decades tirelessly representing plaintiffs in suits against tire manufacturers and vehicle manufacturers, along with other cases involving products liability, insurance law, personal injury, motor carriers, and appellate practice. Tragedy in the East Valley last night. Horrific ending when inattentive commercial truck drivers continue to drive on our highly congested roadways. Even our large verdicts and settlements are not deterrents. This milk company and its insurance companies better get ready to open up their wallets BIG on this one.

Shocking news this morning out of Ventura County, California, where a dive boat with 39 on board caught fire in the middle of the night, reportedly a mere 20 yards off shore in 64 feet of water. Reportedly 34 are missing and presumed dead. Miraculously, 5 crew members are the sole survivors of this tragedy, with only one suffering minor injuries.

How on earth could this have happened with today's technology, CO2 detection systems and alarms, fire sprinkler and suppression systems and alarms and, most importantly, the oldest technology on earth, MAN! How is it none of these 5 surviving employees of the dive boat/company/charter service could not make an effort to alert any of their 34 passengers to save their lives? Were none of the fire, smoke, or CO2 alarms on this dive boat operational? So many questions to be answered in the wake of this tragedy.

It's tragic that the Captain no longer goes down with the ship.

The U.S. Coast Guard was coordinating a rescue effort Monday in response to a distress call from a boat that caught fire off California with 30 people on board.
