It is with great sadness that we announce Georgia's first line of duty death for 2019. Glascock County's Deputy Joshua Ryer Jr. Deputy Ryer was killed in a 2 car motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, January 29th.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ryer family, Glascock County Sheriff Jeremy Kelley, and the community during this tough time.

Deputy Ryer was only 19 years old and had only worked for the Sheriff's Office for 6 months, but he made a huge impact during that time.
