🙏 Housing Market 2026: Buyers Finally Have More Power Than Sellers 🏡📉
The 2026 housing market is starting to look very different from the frenzy we've seen over the past few years.
🏡 Active housing inventory is up 8.9%
📉 Home prices have fallen 2.4%
⏳ Homes are taking longer to sell
📊 Mortgage rates are lower than they were a year ago.
For the third straight week, home prices have declined, and economists say this shift goes beyond normal seasonal changes.
My take?
This doesn't mean every market is crashing.
It means buyers finally have something they haven't had in a long time:
✅ More homes for sale ✅ More negotiating power ✅ More time to make decisions ✅ More opportunities to find the right home.
Real estate is always local.
Some cities are still competitive. Some markets are slowing. Some sellers are having to adjust expectations.
