Justice goes beyond accountability — it’s about protecting the vulnerable and sending a message that grooming and predatory behavior will not be tolerated.

Congratulations to NTL Civil Plaintiff Top 100 member Bill Horton of Horton Law Firm on securing a $2.55 million verdict and growing in a clergy abuse case involving the deliberate grooming of a 13-year-old child by a church deacon.

Originally awarded $1.6 million by the jury, the Court of Appeals later added attorney fees and interest, bringing the total verdict to more than $2.55 million.

This result reflects a commitment to standing up for victims and pursuing justice, even in cases where abuse may not fit the traditional definition but the harm is
undeniable.
