Billy was born and raised in Donalsonville, Seminole County, Georgia. He is the son of Dell Shingler, and the late, Judge William M. He is married to Meredith McKelvy Shingler, of Dallas, Georgia. A graduate of Seminole County High School, class of 2004; Valdosta State University, Class of 2008; Southwest Georgia Regional Police Academy, Session 232, in 2009; and Atlanta's John Marshall Law School
, Class of 2014, Billy has experience in law enforcement, criminal prosecution, criminal defense, various types of family law, and estate planning. Billy is a member in good standing of the Georgia State Bar Association. Billy is also an active member of his community, and is a member of the Donalsonville Lions Club and the Seminole County Young Farmers. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Friendship United Methodist Church, where he has attended his whole life. McMillan is a member in good standing of both, the Georgia State Bar Association, and the Alaska State Bar Association. Doug is the son of Greg McMillan, and Teresa Kelly. He is married to Kayla McMillan, with whom he has one son, John Harlan McMillan. Doug was was raised in Seminole County and Decatur County, where he graduated from Bainbridge High School. He later received his Bachelor of Arts at Valdosta State University before studying law at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. After receiving his Juris Doctor Degree from Cumberland School of Law in 2011, Mr. McMillan joined Moser & Rose in Valdosta, Georgia, where he practiced business and corporate litigation. McMillan then formed Coggins & McMillan, LLP in Valdosta, Georgia, where he maintained a general practice handling a wide range of legal issues until joining Colver Law LLC in 2014 and then forming Colver & McMillan, LLC in 2016. Following the birth of their first child, Doug and his wife Kayla relocated to their hometown where Doug has joined with Billy to form Shingler & McMillan, LLC. Doug practices in the areas of Business and Corporate Formation, Business Litigation, and Estate Planning but also has experience in both criminal and family law.
