Why Use A Gun Trust?
You may know the law, but does your spouse or
other successor trustee?

Surviving spouses or co-trustees may treat
fi****ms like ordinary personal property,
without understanding the legal restrictions
that apply. This could expose both parties to felony liability.

A gun trust contains instructions to guide spouse or successor trustee in properly administering Title II weapons:
• Completion of proper transfer applications with the ATF
• What to do with unregistered NFA weapons
• Other conveyances not treated as transfers
• How to make distributions
• How to deal with underage or incapacitated
persons
• How to deal with prohibited persons, etc.
• Gives Trustee express discretion to deny
benefits, convert weapons to cash where breach of law would otherwise occur
