Yesterday, Bodman's Sungjin Yoo co-presented, "U.S. Market Entry and Business Risk Management," with Garam Choe of Choe & Mateo PLLC at the 2026 Future Mobility Partnering Event in Troy, Michigan hosted by KOTRA, the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency. The event included more than 40 Korean automotive parts suppliers focusing on a broad range of components.

In July, we celebrated Carrie Leahy, Chair of Bodman’s Executive Committee, as she was selected by Crain’s Detroit Business for the 2026 Women of Influence award. Carrie was one of only 10 professionals who were selected for this honor.

On Wednesday, St. John’s Resort in Plymouth hosted Carrie and her fellow honorees as they received their awards and offered brief remarks about what this accomplishment means to them.

This recognition highlights women who have made an impact on Detroit's business and governmental communities and serve as strong leaders in their industries. During the awards ceremony, Carrie spoke to a crowd of almost 1000 people, taking a moment to recognize her Bodman colleagues, whose talent, hard work and support made the recognition possible.

In addition to leading a large and multifaceted business law firm, Carrie maintains an active legal practice. Carrie counsels both established and emerging businesses on general corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance with securities regulations, and issues involving venture capital funding.
