Vacation was the trailer. This is the movie. 🌴☀️

There's something different about getting to call a place home that other people save up all year to visit.

It's the random Tuesday evening walks on the beach, the sunsets you never get tired of, and knowing you don't have to squeeze everything into a week's vacation.

Of course, there's still work, traffic, errands, and all the normal parts of life. But even after 20+ years of living here, I still have moments where I look around and think, I really get to live here.

And that feeling hasn't gotten old. 💙

Then your offer gets accepted! 🎉

You're excited. Now things start moving fast.
Inspections need scheduling. Deadlines pop up. Documents need signing, and decisions need to be made.

If you've never bought a home before, it's hard to know what's normal or what needs your attention.
I see this with a lot of first-time buyers. They know they want a home. The part between an accepted offer and closing is often a mystery.

I think that's where much of the stress comes from. This is one of the biggest purchases of your life, and you want to feel sure about your choices.

That's why I walk you through the whole process before we start looking at homes. We'll go over the deadlines that matter, things that could come up, and the options you'll have along the way.

It's your first time, so having questions is completely normal. My goal is for you to feel comfortable asking them and confident about what you're agreeing to.

There's been a lot of good times, some hard ones, and plenty of lessons along the way. Life definitely hasn't gone exactly how I thought it would, but I wouldn't change where I am today.

I'm thankful for my kids, the life I've built, and all the little things that make me happy.

Still learning, still growing, and still figuring things out as I go. But I think that little girl would be pretty proud of us. ❤️

Friend to friend… these are the 4 things that help my clients relocate to Destin and Fort Walton Beach, FL with less stress.

1. Start planning early.
Most people wait too long. The clock is already running. Orders come in or a start date gets set, and every choice has to happen fast. Rushed decisions are where a lot of stress comes from. Learning the areas, commute times, insurance costs, and buying process early gives you room to think and breathe, so you can make better decisions.

2. Know your top 3 priorities.
Why 3? When everything matters equally it's hard to make a choice. Every home will be missing something. Your top 3 tell you what you can live with. Without them it's easy to second guess every house, every decision and that back and forth will wear you out.

3. Stay open to nearby areas.
A lot of people pick a town from photos and online reviews before they ever drive through it or understand what it actuallyy offers and feels like. A name on a map can't tell you how your everyday life will feel there. Sometimes a nearby area gives you more space, a shorter drive to work, or more home for your budget.

4. Have someone honest on the ground.
When you're buying from another state, you can't stand in the driveway and listen for road noise or see what's behind the back fence. A video tour only shows what the camera points at. You need someone who will tell you the things that might change your mind, even if it means that house isn't the one. That honesty is what lets you buy with confidence from far away.

Each of these takes a little guessing out of the move. Less guessing means less stress.

Prepping for Hurricane Isaias, shutters up, plants and everything outside picked up. Hopefully minimal damage and no power outage but it'll probably happen. please pray for the panhandle and all who are here 🙏

Got caught in one of our afternoon storms. 😅

Summer storms here can pop up fast. The sky turns gray, the rain comes down hard, and you make a run for the door. About 20 minutes later, the sun is usually back out.

If you're moving to Fort Walton Beach, keep an umbrella in the car. Future you will thank you.

Five things I’m loving lately, and yes, Cheetos made the list (honestly its been on the list). 🫣😂

My new shampoo and conditioner are giving my hair life. It feels so soft, and I’m glad my hairdresser suggested it.

I’ve also been enjoying my red light therapy mask as part of my skincare routine. Gotta give my face some love too.

The Birkenstocks probably aren’t a surprise if you know me. Most days, that’s what I’m wearing. And the pink polish on my toes deserved a little mention, too. 💕

Add in some Cheetos and the countdown to our cruise, and those are my five for the week. Getting excited for a few days away!
