They were done with the cold. Especially that icy driveway. ❄️

Swipe through to see how one family moved from out of state to Navarre, Florida, and what it really took to get there.

It wasn’t a straight line. The first house didn’t work out, so we walked away and kept looking.

Then we found the one they felt good about moving forward with.

30 days later, they had the keys. Now they’re closer to family, enjoying the warm weather, and making their new home their own.

And no more icy driveway. ☀️

If you're relocating to the Emerald Coast, homeowners insurance needs to be part of your home search from the beginning. 🏡

Two homes can have the exact same price and very different insurance costs.

Things like roof age, the age and construction of the home, location, and wind-resistant features can all affect what you may pay.

And if you're coming from another state, terms like "wind mitigation inspection" may be completely new to you.

This is why I recommend talking with an insurance professional early and getting a quote when you find a home you're seriously considering.

The purchase price tells you what the home costs to buy. Insurance is one of the numbers that helps you understand what it may cost to own.

Florida life lately ☀️🌴

A little work, a lot of gym time, dog walks, paddleboarding, family time, good food, and finding any excuse I can to be near the water.

I've lived on the Emerald Coast for over 20 years, and sometimes I forget that the things that feel normal to me are the exact things people dream about when they're thinking about moving to Florida.

The white sand. Emerald water. Being able to spend a random afternoon at the beach. Watching the sunset over the water.

It's not vacation every day. There's still work, errands, school, laundry and all the regular life stuff. 😂

But this is home. And I still really love living here. ❤️

They were a military family relocating to the Eglin Air Force Base area, with one child, another on the way, and they were buying their first home.

But they couldn’t be here to house hunt in person.

I video toured 9 homes for them, showed them the things they couldn’t see in listing photos, and gave them my honest opinion about each one.

Seven days after our first conversation, they were under contract on a new construction home in Crestview.

I also handled their blue tape walkthrough and followed up on the punch list before closing.

Six weeks after we first talked, they closed.

The first time they walked through the front door, the home was already theirs. 🏡
