The Million Dollar question is always get is " Hows the Market"? Depending on who you ask, you can get multiple answers. Licensed realtors like myself use local data from The Des Moines Area Association of Realtors.

July - “Real estate activity has been steady so far this summer. We reached 4,000 properties on the market which is the highest number we have seen in years. Over 57% of the sold properties in July were sold for less than $240,000. We are seeing a fair amount of price reductions right now. Sellers are motivated. This is an excellent time for a first-time home buyer to buy a home with low interest rates and more homes for sale.” stated DMAAR President.

In summary, YES its a great time to sell with many home buyers looking to lock in low interest rates and a good time to buy if you are looking for a low interest rate.

On this series of Getting busy with the Borges Family...Siding. There are many types of siding including vinyl, wood, cement, sticks( wouldnt reccomend this in Iowa lol). Factors that go intpo choosing siding includes: Cost, Maintenece, weather in location, painting ability, and much more. We choose wood siding. This allowed us to choose the specific color we wanted and was available in stock to put up quickly. This did cost a little more than Vinyl but we love how it turned out!
