CASE UPDATE:

On September 23, 2021, the Honorable John A. Jarvey, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, entered an order allowing the case to proceed as a class action lawsuit. The class has been defined as:

All past or present Barnstormer Basketball, Inc. participants who:

1. were affiliated with a Barnstormer Basketball, Inc. team at any point in time between 2005 and April 5, 2018 while Greg Stephen was involved with the organization; and

2. fell victim to Greg Stephen’s illicit acts of secretly procuring n**e images and/or recordings of minors.

This is good news for those who were victimized by Greg Stephen, as it opens the door for victims to receive monetary compensation arising out of Stephen’s illegal actions. Trial is currently scheduled to commence on August 1, 2022 at the United States Courthouse in Davenport, Iowa. In the coming weeks, formal notices will be sent to any and all potential class members whose last known address can be readily identified through reasonable means with additional information about the class action and the prospect of receiving a monetary award. If you believe you fall within the aforementioned class, please contact class counsel Guy Cook and Ben Erickson to provide them with your last known mailing address, and to learn more about your legal rights and the prospect of recovering a monetary award.
