While we are still practicing predominantly criminal defense, I'm now open to considering personal injury representation on a case-by-case basis.

I'm only interested in plaintiff's work, not civil defense. My civil case interests are primarily intentional torts (things like domestic abuse assault, battery, etc.).

I'm also willing to consider plaintiff's work in medical malpractice and 1983 litigation* (primarily excessive police force). I am aware that those case types are considered difficult to win, especially in Iowa. They align with my interests, so I'm nonetheless willing to consider them.

I'm still unwilling to handle divorce representation, landlord/tenant cases, business/contracts disputes, etc.

*I am only presently admitted to practice in Iowa's state courts, not in federal court. 1983 litigation requires admission to federal practice. If I'm interested in a potential 1983 case you may have, I would need to either seek federal admission or (preferably, I think) work as co-counsel with an already-federally-admitted attorney.
