We are proud to have our attorneys Alison Kanne and Reuben Neff represent the students in this action. As always, we hope to inspire school districts to change their practices and prioritize victims over perpetrators.

Two Hinton wrestlers and their parents have sued the school district, administrators and coaches, saying they enabled a program that was "a breeding ground for harassment and bullying," culminating in incidents in which underclassmen allegedly were assaulted with s*x toys and an electric stun gun.

We are pleased to announce that Wandro & Associates, P.C., is now Wandro, Kanne, & Lalor P.C. After almost thirty successful years at the helm of the firm, Steve Wandro welcomed longtime attorneys Alison Kanne and Brian Lalor as partners in January 2024.

Alison originally joined the firm in 2015 as a law clerk while studying law at the University of Iowa College of Law. She joined the firm as a full-time attorney in 2016. Since then, Alison has litigated high profile and complex cases on behalf of her clients, including extensive work on behalf of civil plaintiffs and defendants, business owners, and defendants in criminal matters. Alison is a fierce litigator and advocate for all of her clients and brings her passion and dedication to every case that she handles. She looks forward to guiding the firm and its clients into this new stage.

Brian originally joined the firm as a law clerk in 2008 while studying law at Drake University Law School. He has been in practice as an attorney at the firm since 2010. Brian has a diversified practice that includes litigation, probate and estates, small business, and personal as well as commercial financial matters. Brian is known to his clients for being thoughtful and precise. Brian is thrilled to be joining Steve and Alison as a partner.

Steve Wandro has been the driving force behind the firm since its formation in 1996. This year will mark 40 years of practice as an attorney for Steve, during which time he has been involved in some of the most significant legal matters to face Iowans, including representation of farmers during the farm crisis of the 1980s, class action and complex litigation related to agricultural chemicals, confined animal operations, asbestos, diet drugs, and to***co, and representation of business owners in complex bankruptcies.

Steve is beginning to transition toward his (eventual) retirement, but will remain a fixture at the firm, continuing to guide clients and collaborate with Alison, Brian, and the rest of the team. Alison and Brian are dedicated to continuing and building upon the culture established by Steve, as well as the high standards we hold ourselves to for excellent legal work and advocacy. On December 8, 2021, Elaine Creasey passed away under unimaginably tragic circumstances.
