LITIGATION PARALEGAL. This position will primarily support our litigation team with drafting and filing of legal documents, coordination of witnesses, managing discovery requests and responses, preparation for trial, and all other tasks related to trial work, mediation, and litigation in general. Additionally, this position will work with our current paralegal and administrative staff to support the needs of the firm and its nine attorneys. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting trial lawyers in Iowa, impeccable office skills, and a willingness to collaborate and cooperate in a team atmosphere. Our firm is now seeking applicants for the following positions:

RECEPTIONIST/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT. This position will answer phones, greet clients, and handle walk-in inquiries daily, and will serve as the executive assistant to founding partner James W. Carney, including, but not limited to typing all correspondence, drafting documents, coordinating communications, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have impeccable phone etiquette, good customer service skills, work well with a team, and employ good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

FINANCE MANAGER. This position will handle all accounting for the firm including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, trust accounting and audit preparation, working with our vendors, clients, employee benefit managers, and outside CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have experience running the finances of a law firm, or a closely held business. This position will be trained by our current Finance Manager as she moves to part time and then retirement.
