🎉 Big congratulations to Whitfield & Eddy Law attorney Bryn Hazelwonder!

🎉 Big news! We're excited to welcome Maddie Joyce to the Whitfield & Eddy Law team as our newest Associate Attorney!

Madison joins the firm's labor & employment practice group. She actually got her start with us as a law clerk while she was still in school at The University of Iowa College of Law, and she earned her J.D. in May 2026.

Game day looked a little different this year! Instead of just cheering for our team, we turned CyHawk into a fight for a good cause: donations to the Salvation Army.

It came down to the wire. Iowa State fans gave 87 donations, and Iowa fans gave 91, all benefiting The Salvation Army Iowa Capital Area Command!

It's officially that time of year! 🎒 Backpacks, school supply lists, and the start of a new routine.

For co-parents, back to school is also a great time to hit reset on communication. A little extra transparency now can save a lot of stress later, especially for the kids.

Some things that really help:
✔️ Share the school calendar early, breaks and early release days included
✔️ Keep each other in the loop on teacher communication
✔️ Talk through extracurricular costs and schedules before they turn into a headache
✔️ Confirm custody exchange logistics for school days in writing

Kids notice when their parents are working together, even after a separation or divorce. Good habits at the start of the year tend to stick.
