We love teachers! Maureen’s middle school science teacher, Mr. C was in the neighborhood and stopped to say hi. He let us know she talked all the time back then too. 🫶🏼

We are a little late to the party, but we were so proud to be a part of the Auction this year for Drake Law Women. Nothing like putting our excellent shopping and decorating skills to work for a good cause. I also don't want to be that girl, but I would of bid on this cute basket. Wouldn't you!

This evening Kolby Warren had the opportunity to speak on a panel at her Alma mater, Simpson College, about her experience in law school and the practice of law. We love sharing our experience with those who are considering a career in law and giving back to students!

You probably thought that was all for Ol' McCormally & Cosgrove right? Your wrong! Just when you thought the McCormally & Cosgrove crew could not get any cooler they went ahead and added one more. Please join us in welcoming Rachel our new Paralegal. Rachel grew up in West Des Moines then trail blazed her way over Washington for about 7 years before making her way back. She has an AA in Criminal Justice from DMACC and am currently in the paralegal program and is set to graduate this, Summer. Rachel has 3 amazing step-kids and 3 fur babies. With her wanderlust spirit Rachel enjoys the thrill of traveling and camping. St. Croix is one destination that is very near and dear to her heart. When she is not here, she volunteers as a personal stylist for Dorothy’s House. She is also a Child advocate (CASA) for the state. When she finally gets some down time, she enjoys reading, watching crime shows and Pilates.

New year new us right, that is how the saying goes. Well, there has been some new here at McCormally & Cosgrove. To start things off, Christmas came early for us as we had Anna our new Associate join our team early December. She has been nothing short of amazing. Anna grew up in Cedar Falls. In 2022 she graduated from Iowa State with a BA in criminal justice and minors in psychology and Spanish. She then mozzied on over to Drake and graduated May of 2025. She was admitted to the Iowa Bar September of that year as well. Anna celebrated her new year by getting the most adorable puppy named Winston with her fiancé. She enjoys family, friends reading and the stress relief of a good workout. WELCOME TO THE GROUP ANNA!

‘Twas a few days before Christmas and all through the place, busy bees were buzzing to tidy up each possible case.

Holiday cheer was ringing in, all through the air, because as soon as 3:30 hit they were out of there!

Our office will be closed Wednesday December 24th through the rest of the week in observance of the Christmas holiday. We will reopen Monday December 29th at 8:30 a.m.
