This past Monday, Thom Scheffel, TNS Associates’ Founder, CEO, and principal lawyer moderated a debate between Josh Rogin from the WaPo (affirming) and Will R***r of AIER (negating) on the topic “Is it in the best interest of the United States to defend Taiwan?” The debate, which was facilitated by Thomas Sarrouf of ISI, was hosted by the Chancellor's Office of Colorado Christian University, the University at which Mr. Scheffel serves as both General Counsel and a professor of business law. TNS Associates' founder, CEO, and principal lawyer, Thom Scheffel, was awarded two prestigious honors at the 2023 Colorado Civil Air Patrol Conference. He received the Colorado WING Award for Legal Officer and the "Rocky Mountain Region George Texido Legislative Officer of the Year Award."

The awards were presented to him by former Colorado WING Commander Colonel Rhoades and Rocky Mountain Region Commander Colonel Hess.

Thom has been a part of the Colorado Civil Air Patrol since 2002, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is currently serving as the Colorado WING Legal Officer and an Assistant Government Relations Advisor for the Colorado Civil Air Patrol. Thom continues to contribute to and support the organization's mission and success.
