Slaughtered!! My friend referred his friend to me who is going through a horrible divorce. I was third lawyer brought in to sue in a high net worth divorce case--lots of businesses and real estate. The original divorce was filed over four years ago, was dismissed out twice by an obstinate husband and his lawyer, and finally refiled a third time to go to trial. Move forward to today~blown out, we have wife and she wanted four things and got them all. Husband will move from the second home, lose his marital home, lose the building his business is in, have to relocate his business, all the real estate will be sold and divided and he gets no maintenance (big issue for him); and, he has to pay all his attorney fees from his own assets. His pompous attorney melted under the table during the reading of the court's order in disbelief of what happened.

Trial Update. Seven years ago my client buys acreage in Black Hawk Colorado. She wanted to build a home and realize property value appreciation from her proximity to the casinos. Immediately, after buying her property, her trash neighbors pick a fight with her and argue she’s on their land. She hires lawyer number one to resolve the issue, she fired him after a year. lawyer number one got nowhere because the neighbors had a rough and tumble attorney Who out bullied her lawyer.Subsequent, my client hires lawyer number two. He fares no better with opposing counsel and is fired after about 10 months. My client hires lawyer number three to take on the neighbors’ attorney, Number three fares no better, gets no one into court and is subsequently fired. Three years ago Christmas Eve my phone rings. I am going to be legal team number four. Within 40 days of being retained I have everyone sued and in court in Gilpin County Colorado. Move forward three years. After two full years of motions practice we’re winning all issues. At this time, another neighbor decides to join in to the lawsuit against us—called intervenor. Trial update. The second party suing us in the lawsuit is represented by a name brand law firm in Denver. During trial, the powerful, overconfident, cocky, smug, trial lawyers of the name brand firm get blown out during trial and lose their case without us having to put on a defense. Blown out! The loss was so bad, that instantaneously I moved for all of my client’s attorneys fees against the second party and specifically against their lawyers. The court told me to file my motion which is now pending before the court. Outcome, my client receives 100% of her land as she claimed, all claims by the second party are dismissed and the judge now contemplates awarding us a portion of our attorneys fees against both parties that we had to sue. What you don’t know is, seven years ago my client called me before hiring lawyer number one, hung up and said he’s too brash, combative, aggressive, Hostile, mean, not a diplomat and not what I need. She rethought this position four years later when she hired me as fourth counsel to run over the neighbors with a freight train, win all issues and get her her attorneys fees! 🦍😎🦍

I am a lawyer here in Colorado. When I needed a consultation to help me understand the full range of issues facing my civil client, my research led me to Robert Abrams. I first contacted him by email, and he invited me to call him. He was generous with his time and his expertise in the area of my litigation was unquestionable. He provided me expanded assistance by introducing me to other experts in the area of my specific need, and took extra time out of his busy practice to identify and locate them for me. I expect to use him as an expert witness in this case, and I eagerly await the opportunity to work with him on other complex contract and construction-related projects. Daniel J. Deters, Esq.

Trial Verdict In! My client of limited means was sued for $250k, frantic, they went to a law firm for help. At that law firm, one of the lawyers told the client to call me and not use their firm. She said, you need a different type of lawyer. The client called me, came to my office, showed me the lawsuit and asked for help. In disbelief, I sued the plaintiff for suing my client. Verdict In! My client was sued for $250k and owes $0; judgment entered against the plaintiff in favor of my client for $340,000!! Wins from the defense side are very difficult. I'm glad I could help.

Trial Win!! My client was sued for over $4 million in a construction defect/real estate matter, deep in the mountains, plus attorney fees, on 19 claims of law incl. sub-claims. Two week jury verdict in, my client's win 18 of 19 claims and have to pay $13k, but no attorney fees! I brought one claim for my guys and he won $14,000, but the setoff still made us pay $13k. The jury came in the courtroom after trial to talk to us and told me "I'm Cousin Vinnie!" One juror said, can you imagine how terrifying it is to be cross examined by him? I'll take my compliments where I find them. The jury hated the plaintiffs (I made sure of that) and were glad not to give them any money; and, I made sure to have them hate their lawyer even more--It's my way! It was very emotional as my clients avoided bankruptcy on a bu****it, muscle suit brought by pompous, rich, overreachers. Pompous, talented, opposing counsel picked his fight unwisely and after a 2 1/2 year battle was sent home defeated. I love my job!

The Attorneys at Abrams & Assoc.:

I wan to take time to thank all of you for your efforts on my real estate resolution. Your efforts, knowledge, legal acumen, and reputation were an invaluable contributor to a swift and successful outcome. The buyout price you negotiated is one of the best deals I have ever struck as an entrepreneur. I've bought, sold, and been participant to approx.. 10 organizations and conducted tens of millions of dollars in real estate purchase and business purchase transactions. Of all of them, my experience with your law firm has been the best. I wanted to congratulate all of you and provide a sincere thank you for your efforts.

Truly, thank you!

Trial Win #2. A trucking co. sold an asset (large truck) by one officer of the co. w/o the other officer's knowledge or consent. The Seller ran off w/the money. My guy (PL) sues the thief, Co. and other corp. officer. Under an attenuated agency theory in law known as "ratification of contract by agent of undisclosed principal" (whatever that means), the jury returned a verdict in PL's favor, against the other corp. officer who never signed anything, knew of anything and basically had his truck stolen too. The jury awarded PL over 100% of his loss. Be careful who you get in bed w/in business.

Two More Trial Wins. Update, trial #1, 4 years ago my client calls me re: a mountain property land dispute. She hangs up, decides I'm too combative, not enough of a diplomat and will make the process stretch out in time and expense to her. She hangs up and hires lawyer #1. Three years goes by and my phone rings; it's the client who explains, I will be her 4th legal team on this case, all other lawyers were too soft, got pushed around by opposing counsel, ineffective and she needs to push back hard. In less than 40 days, after 3 full years and 3 other ineffective legal teams, I had everyone sued and the case in Gilpin County District Court. Moving forward 15 months--we won! Specifically, one of the DF's died during the litigation (I'm innocent), the other spent well over $100k in attorney fees, surveyors, boundary commission, experts and related costs--what a waste of time, effort and money. The court ruled my client has her land, arguably on DF's land, and over DF's objection, she'll build her house on DF's land b/c that land is now officially my client's land. The second the court ruled on the status of her land, the client rehired the Firm for all the contract and construction work to build her dream house.

UPDATE.
It’s not an easy task seeking out an attorney for legal issues. It’s not funny when your caught up in legalities and don’t know who to turn to for professional help. The legal dispute I had was overwhelming weight causing me stress and anxiety, it was a \"legal\" concern. When all had been said and done, the relief and pressure lifted out of my life because of this office of legal minds was so surprisingly mood lifting that I’m still surprised. In my lifetime dealing with legal issues has never been, in the slightest, fun, relieving, or in any way pleasant, even after it’s all over. My issue has been cleared from my life and I have no feeling of being cheated but a great feeling of clear, satisfying and fair relief. During the process, I literally felt like I handed over and unloaded my burden to a competent team, my team. Now it’s over and how satisfied I am with the outcome! In 20/20 hindsight – I could not have picked a better team of legal minds! Thank you so much to Robert Abrams and his team at ABRAMS, SULLENBERGER & ASSOCIATES, LLC
