Disability Scoop covered NAD v. Trump, the case challenging the refusal of the White House to provide sign language interpreters for briefings, with quotes from our brief and Amy Robertson. (The quoted language from the brief is Michelle Uzeta's brilliant writing.) As the article explains, the WH position would have ramifications far beyond the current case.

The White House is pushing back on a long-running lawsuit over its disability accommodations by challenging the right of people with disabilities to sue the federal government.

F&R and Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) filed an amicus brief to protect the right of individual disabled people to challenge discrimination by executive agencies, including the President. We support the NAD’s efforts to make the WH provide ASL interpreters.

Fox & Robertson joined over 800 other law firms around the country standing up for the rule of law in opposition to the administration's attempts to intimidate lawyers with whom they disagree. Grateful to Eimer Stahl for taking the lead on this important brief.

Title II of the ADA Prohibits – and Provides a Private Right of Action to Challenge – Failure to Accommodate, Disparate Impact, Architectural Barriers, and Other Potentially Unintentional Discrimination. If... Read Moreabout Title II of the ADA Prohibits – and Provides a Private Right of Actio...

Everything in this post. "Why didn't you ask nicely?" "Please give us another three years to comply." "How could we have known we had to [provide the easiest and most basic accommodations.]"

Thank you David Carlson and Disability Rights Montana. Brilliant!

F&R is proud to be working with the brilliant lawyers and advocates at Justice In Aging, Center for Medicare Advocacy, Center for Public Representation, Disability Law United, Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF), National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care, and National Health Law Program (NHeLP) in filing an amicus brief supporting the right of disabled people and older adults at risk of institutionalization to bring suit to challenge the policies that put them at risk. Glad to be able to support.

The Admin's latest would result in inaccessible buildings and confusion, expense, and liability for covered entities. Pls comment by June 16!
