📌 Italian Compound Butter

Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with all the ingredients.
Use a fork or a hand mixer to blend everything together until fully incorporated.
Transfer the butter mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap.
Shape it into a log, then roll it tightly and twist the ends to secure.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Slice and serve as needed on warm bread, steak, pasta, or roasted vegetables.
