REAL ESTATE
We are a full service legal office in the area of real estate law and transactions. We prepare and review deeds, certificate of titles, HUD forms, conveyances forms, land contracts, affidavit of sellers, leases, and purchase agreements. We hold real estate closings at our office. We also have litigated quiet title actions, adverse possession claims and foreclosures.

Cases:
Bank of America v. Sauber - Defiance Co.Common Pleas - We successfully defended a homeowner in a foreclosure action, where the bank acted improperly in the handling of the mortgage. The bank was ordered to reinstate the mortgage back to the point where it had acted improperly.

We have handled dozens of appeals in state and federal courts, having argued cases in Ohio in the Third and Sixth District Court of Appeals and in the Federal courts in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. We have represented clients in criminal cases, contracts cases, child custody cases, child dependency cases, unlawful termination cases, child support cases, income tax cases and governmental law cases at the appeals level. Here are some recent cases in which we successfully argued for reversal of the trial court's decision:

ELECTIONS LAW
Our firm has a unique perspective and experience in the area of elections law as Tim has served as the Chairman of the Defiance Co. Board of Elections. Tim has been elected to two separate public offices participating in five successful election campaigns for those offices and other campaigns for State Senate, State Representative and County Prosecutor. This experience has allowed Tim to be fully versed in campaign finance law.
Our firm has authored the following issues' petitions that have appeared on ballots throughout Ohio:
- Bryan, Ohio - zoning referendum
- Putnam Co., Ohio - Off Track Betting initiative
- Stark Co., Ohio - repeal of the county sales tax
- Defiance, Ohio - zoning referendum
- Defiance, Ohio - cemetery rates referendum
- Defiance, Ohio - Fort St. initiative
- Clinton Twp, Fulton Co.- repeal of the zoning law
Our firm also succesfully defended a candidate's right to appear on the ballot for the Mayor of Hicksville, Ohio.
