‼️ FMCSA issues Final Rule for non-domiciled CDL

It will take effect in 30 days.

From that moment, only holders of specific visa categories will be eligible to obtain a non-domiciled CDL:

✅ H-2A (agricultural workers)
✅ H-2B (temporary non-agricultural workers)
✅ E-2 (treaty investors)

And only after enhanced federal background checks through interagency screening.

Reason: the agency cites a “double standard” — U.S. drivers undergo thorough background checks, while foreign driving histories have not been consistently verified.

After an IFTA audit, you’re facing massive fines if:

It’s 2026 and your UCR still isn’t updated? Fines are adding up

Colleagues, a quick reminder: the UCR grace period was eliminated back in 2023. If your UCR hasn’t been renewed, penalties are accumulating. The fee had to be paid by December 31, 2025.

Late fees can reach up to $1,000 per day per truck or per violation, depending on the state. Even worse, if you never registered and are operating interstate without UCR, you’re at serious risk. In some states, your truck can be placed out of service or impounded until your UCR is filed or renewed.
