I am deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer. She was a devoted public servant whose leadership, compassion, and commitment to equity and the environment left a lasting impact on her community.
As the first Black and Haitian American woman elected to the Coral Springs City Commission, Vice Mayor Metayer served with pride, purpose, and integrity. She was a tireless advocate for her constituents and a voice for positive change.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who mourn this profound loss. May her legacy continue to inspire, and may she rest in peace.
