Worthy Cause Wednesday: The High Impact Fund at the High Museum of Art supports a wide range of the museum's activities, including exhibitions, programs, and community engagement initiatives.

Donations to the fund enable the High Museum to provide diverse experiences for visitors of all ages, from exploring art to participating in educational activities. The fund also helps the museum expand its collection and offer unique programs that connect people with the arts. Help make their April goal of $30,000! Giving to the High Impact Fund is one of the best ways to directly support the museum.

If you make a contribution to the High Impact Fund before May 31, your gift will be doubled thanks to a generous $15,000 match from Marc and Natalye Paquin.

Worthy Cause Wednesday: Headache disorders are an invisible epidemic. Ranging from migraine, cluster headache, and chronic daily headache to new daily persistent headache and tension-type headache, nearly 90% of the US population suffers from some form of head pain.

The Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA) is an umbrella organization uniting headache advocates nationwide. Our ongoing mission is to make life better for the millions of Americans living with headache disorders in our country. Founded in 2008, the AHDA is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit supported by member contributions and individual donors. Members include organizations, medical providers, scientists, caregivers, and people living with headache disorders.

The Headache Alliance is excited to announce a groundbreaking installation which aims to visually and emotionally depict the vast impact that headache and migraine disorders have on over 40 million Americans. Thousands of flags will cover the National Mall Park near the nation’s Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. in representation of those affected by this disease.

As the first large-scale display of its kind for headache and migraine advocacy, it will serve as a hallmark event for the headache community, created in partnership with multiple headache organizations and taking place during the month of June, Migraine and Headache Awareness Month.

Worthy Cause Wednesday: Miracle Babies at Northside Hospital was founded in 2009 by Dr. Sean Daneshmand, a board certified obstetrician with extensive experience caring for women with high-risk pregnancies, to provide support to families with a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

In partnership with the Northside Hospital Foundation, Miracle Babies at Northside Hospital was launched in 2012. Your support of the Miracle Babies fund provides resources and financial assistance to families with critically ill newborns in our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU).

The Miracle Babies Fund, through the Northside Foundation, provides transportation assistance and support to almost 400 families annually. Northside Hospital delivers more babies than any other hospital in the country. In our Level III Special Care Nurseries (NICU), as many as 125 premature and special-needs babies are cared for at one-time. Many families spend days, weeks or even months in the unit and are not able to handle extra needs and expenses associated with their stay. Unplanned time-off from work and increased travel to-and-from the hospital is a new reality for them.

By providing financial assistance to parents, we hope to relieve families of stress and increase time parents are able to spend in the NICU with their newborn. This additional time helps emotionally support parents and improves rates of breastfeeding and Kangaroo Care.
