🐦🚨 WHAT THE FLOCK IS GOING ON AT DAYTONA'S FLOCK-A-PALOOZA?

I told you I had photographic evidence.

Well...

HERE IT IS. πŸ‘€

These photos were taken around the pedestrian walkway between Bass Pro Shops and Daytona International Speedway, an area I've jokingly called:

FLOCK-A-PALOOZA.

Why?

Because of the remarkable number of Flock cameras I've documented around this area.

Then I started hearing reports about some "deflocking activity."

And these pictures showed up.

They appear to show people using VERY long wooden poles to reach equipment mounted high above the roadway.

Now comes the important part:

What exactly are they doing?

I DON'T KNOW.

Were they authorized to be there?

I DON'T KNOW.

Was anything damaged?

I DON'T KNOW.

And I'm not going to turn a photograph into a conclusion the photograph doesn't actually prove.

But I'll admit...

These pictures certainly got my attention. πŸ˜‚

So I'm turning this investigation over to you.

πŸ¦πŸ”Ž WHAT DO YOU THINK IS HAPPENING HERE?

More importantly:

If you were actually there, witnessed this, recognize what's happening, or have additional photographs or video, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Message me.

Speculation is welcome in the comments.

Just distinguish what you KNOW from what you're GUESSING.

DON'T FLOCK ME, BRO.

Don’t Flock me Friday, fake Flock edition! The Oviedo Police Department put up fake, 3D printed Flock cameras in a sting operation to catch DeFlockers. One guy was charged with three felonies. The mayor of Oviedo had no clue when interviewed on the topic. Not only are we getting Flocked to death, no w we are getting fake Flocked.

πŸ“Š FRIDAY β€” FOLLOW THE MONEY

Who pays for Florida’s Flock cameras β€” and who benefits?

The answer starts with us.

Across Florida, local governments and law-enforcement agencies are spending public money on automated license plate reader systems operated by private company Flock Safety.

A few examples:

πŸ“ Hollywood: In 2026, the city authorized spending of up to $555,000 per year on Flock equipment and software β€” potentially $2.775 million over five years.

πŸ“ Jacksonville: An initial Flock agreement was reported at approximately $114,000 for one year.

πŸ“ Gainesville: Approved a five-year agreement at $25,000 per year, funded through a federal law-enforcement forfeiture fund.

The money trail looks like this:

PUBLIC FUNDS β†’ GOVERNMENT β†’ LAW ENFORCEMENT β†’ FLOCK SAFETY

And the data travels the other direction:

YOUR VEHICLE β†’ LICENSE PLATE CAMERA β†’ DATABASE β†’ LAW ENFORCEMENT

Police argue these systems can help find stolen vehicles, locate missing people, and identify suspects.

But there’s another question taxpayers deserve to ask:

How much surveillance should we be required to fund β€” and what limits should exist on how that technology is used?

Public safety matters.

So do privacy, transparency, due process, and the Fourth Amendment.

Follow the money.
Then follow the data.
