Congratulations to Minor Firm attorneys Mitchell Snyder and Azurae Orie who recently prevailed in a jury trial in the Superior Court of Cobb County, resulting in a judgment for our client in the amount of $244,822.41. The jury found against an Atlanta developer and his real estate company finding that they had committed fraud, breached statutory duties, and acted negligently. The judgment included a recovery of our client’s attorney's fees and costs. The attorneys at the Minor Firm have significant experience handling all manner of business, real estate, and probate disputes, and litigating these disputes when necessary.

On May 31, partner Bill Jourdain (who serves as general counsel to Dalton Utilities), joined Dalton Utilities CEO John Thomas and Chief Energy Officer Will McDaniel at Plant Vogtle to celebrate the completion of nuclear units 3&4. Dalton is a co-owner of Plant Vogtle with Georgia Power, Oglethorpe Power and MEAG Power. With its four units, Vogtle is the largest generator of clean energy in the United States. Many dignitaries were present for this event, including United States Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

The Minor Firm is proud to have worked on this monumental project with Dalton Utilities and the City of Dalton.
