Yesterday, the Georgia Supreme Court, overturned, years and years of criminal law, by ruling that a person who is entering a guilty plea in a criminal case, does not have to be advised of every constitutional right that they are waving by entering a guilty plea.  basically, this means that, as long as the court record shows that a person had a basic understanding of their rights end of the case before they enter the guilty place, then they do not have to be informed of each and every right they are giving up. This becomes very important when a person is trying to withdraw a guilty plea because a mistake was made.
