Buddy Button is ready for Halloween! 🎃

We created a Halloween coloring page with pumpkins, ghosts, candy, and Buddy in his costume for families to enjoy together.

This weekend, members of our BLF team had the opportunity to volunteer with Feed The City, where we helped make more than 1,000 sandwiches in just one hour. 🥪

Feed The City brings volunteers together to prepare meals for people in need, and those meals are distributed through local organizations that support people in the community.

For our team, it was a perfect example of two of our core values: Making a Difference and Family and Team.

We loved getting the chance to work side by side, serve our community, and contribute to an organization making a real impact.

Thank you to Feed The City / Tango Charities for letting us be part of it. 💙

A high chair may seem like a simple piece of daycare equipment, but if it isn’t used correctly, it can quickly become dangerous.

Falls can happen when a child isn’t strapped in securely, stands up, leans over, or causes the chair to tip.

For young children, that can lead to concussions, skull fractures, or other serious head injuries.

In Part 1 of this series, Russell explains why proper restraints, stable placement, and close supervision matter every time a child is seated in a high chair.

Head injuries are one of the most serious injuries that can happen when daycare supervision breaks down.

A fall from playground equipment, furniture tipping over, or an unsafe interaction with another child can lead to a concussion, skull fracture, or traumatic brain injury.

And with young children, symptoms may not always show up right away.

Parents should watch for things like vomiting, unusual sleepiness, confusion, balance problems, mood changes, or behavior that feels different from normal.

If your child is seriously hurt at daycare, start with medical care. Then document what happened, keep your records, request the daycare’s incident report, and ask who was supervising.

Burns, heatstroke, and hypothermia can all become serious very quickly for young children.

At daycare, these injuries can happen when hot surfaces or unsafe equipment are left within reach, or when children are exposed to extreme temperatures without enough supervision, water, shade, or proper care.

These are not small safety concerns.

WFAA recently covered The Button Law Firm’s lawsuit against Arka Montessori after surveillance footage showed a teacher encouraging another child to fight a 4-year-old boy before throwing him to the floor “like a human ragdoll.”

The Harris family shared the heartbreak of realizing that the daycare they had carefully chosen and trusted had failed to protect their son.

Russell also spoke about why families coming forward matters. When serious daycare failures are exposed, it can force accountability and help prevent another child from being put in the same position.
