MWM senior associate Michele Himstedt will be conducting a CLE titled, “Enforcing the Revenue-Share Contract: Collecting the Buyout and Suing the School That Tampered,” with myLawCLE on Sept. 29, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. ET.

This session examines how a university or NIL collective can build and prosecute a tortious interference claim against a rival school that tampers with a contracted athlete. Using Wisconsin v. Miami as the blueprint case, attorneys will work through each element of tortious interference as applied to revenue-share agreements, the procedural and jurisdictional obstacles unique to school-versus-school litigation, and the evidentiary challenges created by layered tampering through agents and collectives. Attendees will leave with a practical litigation framework covering jurisdiction, damages theories, discovery strategy, and the NCAA regulatory overlay that runs parallel to civil enforcement.

For MWM Partner John Lord, an opportunity to provide legal support to a nonprofit became a decade-long commitment to its mission.

John has worked with Once Upon a Room since its founding in Los Angeles 10 years ago. The organization was created to bring comfort and a sense of home to children facing extended hospital stays by transforming their rooms into personalized, uplifting spaces.

John first became involved when he provided pro bono representation in an intellectual property dispute. Inspired by the organization’s work, he stayed involved, eventually helping decorate hospital rooms alongside children and families.

What began at two Los Angeles hospitals has since grown to more than 50 hospitals across 35 states, extending that same sense of comfort to children and families across the country.

A landmark win for American homeowners has been upheld.

As reported by Law360, the Eighth Circuit has affirmed the more than $1 billion nationwide settlement resolving antitrust claims against the National Association of Realtors and multiple real estate brokerages over rules alleged to have artificially inflated buyer-broker commissions.

Munck Wilson Mandala attorneys Jenifer Wallis and Marina Bogorad were among the counsel involved in the appeal, representing The Agency in this significant litigation.

The appellate court rejected challenges to the settlement, affirming the district court’s approval and bringing another major milestone in a case that has helped reshape longstanding practices within the real estate industry.
