Today, we don't just celebrate a long weekend, a cookout, or the unofficial start of summer. Today we remember the men and women who gave everything for this country and for the freedoms we often take for granted.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom has never been free. Behind every flag waving proudly is a story of sacrifice. Behind every family gathering is the reality that some families are missing someone they love because they answered the call to serve.

We honor those who laid down their lives with courage, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to something greater than themselves. Their sacrifice can never truly be repaid, but it should never be forgotten.

Today, may we pause to reflect, to pray for the families carrying that loss, and to live in a way that honors the legacy of those who never made it home.

May God bless the fallen, their families, and the United States of America.
