The Stemmons Service Award was created by the Stemmons Family to “honor a member of the brokerage community who exemplifies the highest standards of a commercial real estate professional with priority placed on exceptional character, reputation, and industry and community involvement.”

This award celebrates outstanding work and service in the commercial real estate community in North Texas. The event brought together leaders from across the North Texas commercial real estate community. We were glad to have been a sponsor and had a great time attending. Although everyone is thinking of the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”) as dead, the State of New York has passed the New York LLC Transparency Act which, as its name implies, only applies to NY limited liability companies.

Among other things, the new law includes Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements that are very similar to the CTA.

If your organizational structure includes a New York LLC, you will need to comply with this new law. And quickly - it has an initial effective date of January 1, 2026.
