The Selden Society and the Inns of Court have joined forces to establish a new series of annual lectures open to scholars, members and students of the Inns and the general public to show the relevance of a wider understanding of Legal History. The first Selden Society Annual Inns of Court Lecture, hosted by the Inner Temple, will be delivered online via Zoom on 21 Oct. 2020 at 5.30 pm BST. Prof. Jay Tidmarsh of Notre Dame Law School will speak on ’The Fire Courts: Successfully Delivering Justice in a Time of Plague and Fire’. To book a place at the event, please visit the Inner Temple website (https://www.innertemple.org.uk/news/selden-society-lecture-the-fire-courts) and use the link ‘Add Ticket’ (ie, do not use the ‘Member Login’ link, unless you are a member of that Inn). The Inner Temple will then issue the ticket for the event: and you will be sent the Zoom link a couple of days before the lecture.
