"The Biden Administration is announcing another step in our phased strategy to reform the nation’s immigration system. Beginning on February 19, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will begin phase one of a program to restore safe and orderly processing at the southwest border. DHS will begin processing people who had been forced to “remain in Mexico” under the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). Approximately 25,000 individuals in MPP continue to have active cases." -DHS

Looking towards brighter days in immigration. MPP (MIGRANT PROTECTION PROGRAM) has been suspended. There has not been any clarification on how those in the program outside the U.S. will be treated, we are hoping for the best.

President Biden signed THREE executive orders in regards to immigration.
♡♡♡FAMILY SEPARATION AND ASYLUM EXECUTIVE ORDER♡♡♡
-Fact 1: This executive order calls for a task force to locate and reunite children with their families.
-Fact 2: It calls for the end of the migrant protection program "Remain in Mexico Policy" and also a phase strategy for the safe and orderly entry into the U.S of those already being subjected to those protocols.
-Fact 3: It calls for the review of all policies guidance and presidential decisions to evaulate whether the United States is in fact providing protections for those fleeing domestic or gang violence.
