If you haven’t considered where you stand on due process for immigrants, I pose this question: if an immigrant doesn’t have the right to due process and can just be deported, what rights do you really have? Due process requires that you have a chance to defend yourself. If some aren’t entitled to that opportunity, the reality is that no one truly is entitled to it. Without it, you could be swept off the street and deported and have to fight your way back into the country. How would you determine who is actually entitled to it without due process itself?
