Read the confession closely.

“I did it” convicts you. “I think I did it” gets you out.

Ranking criminal charges from "you'll be fine" to "life changed forever."

DWI is the one people underestimate. Shows up on every job application, forever.

What should I rank next?

The silence after an arrest isn't an accident. It's the strategy.

Hours in a holding cell, nobody talking to you, waiting for you to break first.

Don't let it work.

He kidnapped a guy for ransom then sent him into a bank ALONE to get the cash.

The hostage just... wrote a note and turned him in. What’s the dumbest criminal story you know?

30% of people exonerated by DNA still confessed to the crime.

Cops are trained to get that confession. Hours of pressure, lies about your own friends. Legal, and it works.

Don’t talk to cops.

Detained ≠ arrested. Most people don’t know the difference.

Detained: they’re investigating. Say nothing. Give no permission.

Don’t talk your way into trouble.

A cop knocking on your door doesn’t mean you have to answer.

No warrant means no obligation. Opening the door lets them see everything.

Honored to be recognized by my peers in the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Criminal Defense: General Practice and DUI/DWI Defense.

This one means a lot. Grateful for the clients who trust me with their most difficult moments and the colleagues who continue to push the standard higher.

Cops don't have to Mirandize you on arrest. Only if they're about to question you.

Undercover cops don't have to admit it either.

Talk to a lawyer, not the police. Always.
