Happy birthday to one of the partners behind Miller Copeland, Emily! 🎂

Emily is in the details of every case, every single day from discovery, depositions, motions, to client prep, making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The woman doesn't stop. She tried a federal court trial three weeks before giving birth and handled a workplace injury arbitration two weeks before. That's who Emily is.

Last July, she became a mom to a beautiful baby girl, and it changed the way she shows up for our clients. Being a mother made her even more passionate about fighting for people who are going through the hardest moments of their lives. The insurance company is watching your social media. Every post. Every photo. Every check-in. And they will use it against you.

After an accident, think twice before posting:

Workout videos or gym check-ins — they'll say you're not really hurt. Photos at restaurants, parties, or events — they'll say your injuries aren't affecting your life. Anything about the accident — even venting to friends can be taken out of context and used against your claim. Location check-ins — they track your activity level to argue you're more active than you claim. "Feeling great!" updates — even if you're talking about your kid's birthday, they'll screenshot it and attach it to your file.

The safest move after an accident? Lock down your accounts and don't post anything about your life, your health, or your activities until your case is resolved. And before you post anything, call your lawyer.
