Summer may be winding down, but so are some of the deadliest days on America’s roads.

The period between Memorial Day and Labor Day is often called the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer,” and the numbers show why. During June through August 2024, 10,438 people lost their lives on U.S. roads, an average of 113 deaths every day.
