NEVER a dull moment in family law. As I was headed to mediation yesterday I had an emergency situation in another case that popped up. I worked on that issue, rather than eating lunch, and teamwork with allowed us to immediately address the issue. Our wonderful Judge entered the emergency order to help our client. I then headed to mediation and we resolved the case for that client, canceling any litigation that was needed beforehand. First thing this morning I had a trial on termination of parental rights until this afternoon, and that Judge took it under submission (a win in my book rather than ruling from the bench, the Judge needs time to make that decision.) I’ve had to move a couple of appointments due to everything hitting at once, and for those I’ve had to reschedule thank you for being so understanding.

It makes my heart so incredibly happy I get to help my clients’ lives for the better, and makes missing lunches and working while sick worth it :)

I’m sick this week but the show must always go on! I wanted to give a “BeReal” about what trial prep looks like for the longest scheduled trial of my career (5 full days). Regardless of what we have going on in our personal lives, we will always show up for you and fight like hell. (Puppy cuddles give us the edge we need before the battle 🐶)

So proud this is in my yard! I urge Kenton Countians to vote for one of my mentors, She is an excellent family law attorney—extremely knowledgeable, hardest work ethic, and has the perfect temperament for the bench. I’m thrilled for her to help our families in Kenton County’s community once she’s elected.

I’m so very grateful to have my trusted sidekick beside me today for our 6 hour hearing. Hopefully you learned a couple of tricks of the trade! Also wouldn’t have been able to do it without the amazing holding things down for us at the office. How lucky am I to have the stellar team that I have?!

9/11 was a horrible and tragic day. But how we unified as a country in response was such a beautiful thing. It reminds me that even though awful things can happen to you, without warning and without just cause, you maintain your power in how you choose to respond.

We will never forget.
