Being a realtor may sound fancy, but to me it means that I am a nerd…a nerd that happens to be really interested in homes: buying homes, selling homes, helping others with homes and home stuff- you get the idea. Basically anything that has to do with homes, I want to know about it. I started out my real estate career as a loan officer back in 2002. I decided to follow my true passion and become a realtor in 2013. I knew that I was in love with it after the first closing when my client told me how happy they were. It was really important to find a career that makes a difference in peoples’ lives. Fast forward a few years and I am still giddy to go to ‘work’ every single day.

ChatGPT gave me a very confident answer about Minnesota real estate law.

It was wrong.

I asked about a 2026 change to Minnesota’s townhome and condo resale disclosure requirements.

CHATGPT:
“I checked the enacted 2026 Minnesota changes…the new resale-package requirements do not take effect until January 1, 2027.”
It came with a pile of citations and looked thoroughly researched.

ME:
“…are you 100% certain? Because I’ve been a Realtor for 13 years and I know they changed.”

CHATGPT:
“You are right to challenge me. I was wrong about that part.”
The change I was asking about actually took effect August 1, 2026, adding the association’s maintenance plan, maintenance schedule and maintenance budget to the resale disclosure requirements.

The only reason ChatGPT corrected its answer is because I already knew the answer.
AI is an incredible tool. It’s not a substitute for knowledge and experience when you’re making one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.

SOLD in Blaine! 🏡

Charles and Addeli came to me through some amazing past clients, Andre and Carol, who were originally introduced to me by another great client family, Carlos and Tatiane.

I love seeing relationships like that come full circle.

For this sale, we put my Listing Machine to work. Strategic preparation, professional staging, photography, video, 3D tours, social media, open house strategy, and some of the newest technology available to market a home.

Before we even officially hit the market, we had an offer more than $20,000 over list price.

That put us in a position of strength and allowed me to negotiate the terms Charles and Addeli wanted.

Now this chapter is complete, and they’re getting ready for a new state and a brand-new home!
