As ICE continues to intimidate our communities, it is critical to know your rights and to remain as calm as possible. Red Cards/Know Your Rights Cards are available in English and Spanish at our office and other locations across Oregon. We are stronger together and cannot give them the satisfaction of being afraid or discouraged. We are not an immigration law firm but if you need help finding an immigration attorney we can help connect you with the appropriate non-profits to help. If a loved one has been detained by ICE in Benton, Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, or Lincoln County please reach out to Val Hoyle for her office to assist you.

At least some of the detainees were from Central and South American countries, an advocate said, adding that some arrests were apparently made at the BLM office in Springfield.

This week, an ICE arrest in Corvallis was initially reported as a kidnapping—sparking confusion, panic, and deep concern across our community. Unfortunately, no other information has been shared yet as to why it was reported as a kidnapping. For many immigrant families, this was a painful reminder of how quickly fear can spread and linger without voices of support from community leaders.

We want our community to know:
📌 You are not alone.
📌 You have rights—even when it doesn’t feel like it.
📌 There are people ready to stand with you and defend you.

Esta semana, un arresto por parte de ICE en Corvallis fue reportado inicialmente como un secuestro, lo que provocó confusión, pánico y una profunda preocupación en nuestra comunidad.
