Happy Texas Independence Day!🇨🇱

🤠On this day in 1836, brave settlers from all across Mexican Texas gathered at Washington-on-the-Brazos and boldly declared that Texas was no longer under Mexican rule. They adopted the Texas Declaration of Independence, proclaiming our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of self-government, and in doing so, created the Republic of Texas. Fifty-nine delegates signed this historic document, and with it, set our Lone Star State on the path to becoming the Texas we know and love today.

📌Did you know utilizing this program, you can transform your Christmas tree into FREE community mulch, thereby reducing landfill waste and enhancing safety.

📌Simply drop off your tree at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station, where it will be recycled and converted into mulch that the community can access at no cost. The container is accessible 24/7 from Dec. 26 through Jan. 31.

🗣📢 Del Mar College's CDL Program has some exciting news!🚛💨🚛💨

📌For a limited time, the Texas Public Education Grant may provide funding ranging from $0 to $4,800 for individuals who meet the financial need criteria. The cost of our Class A CDL course is $4,800.

📌CDL classes begin every one to two weeks, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Class A CDL day course is five weeks long, while the evening course runs for eight weeks.
